Mission Statement

The mission of the Harlem Center for Education – Educational Opportunity Center is to assist adult learners who are low-income and potential first-generation college students make the transition into post-secondary education. The Educational Opportunity Center seeks to accomplish this mission by providing our participants with free TASC-prep (GED) and Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes, information about and application assistance with financial aid and college admissions applications, academic tutoring, career exploration, and other services.
